Vidin Will Attract Tourists With a Floating Opera

A floating opera will attract tourists in the town of Vidin, Bulgaria. The open-air festival will be held at the end of July and the beginning of August.

Floating opera in Danube River waters

The “Mantle” performance of the Sofia opera and ballet theatre will be held on the barge’s board over the Danube River. The audience will be placed at the quay’s wall, on specially built stands. Outdoor opera for children will be performed in the Baba Vida fortress at open air. A ballet show will be held beside the main gate of the Stambul Capiya Fortress.

The Opera Festival in Vidin is similar to the Opera on the Peaks Festival in Belogradchik. The both events will be held at the same time.
